Robagaga 9,345 Posted September 3, 2018 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Hurricane Watch: Gordon Current State: Gordon is currently still a tropical storm however, something remarkable has happened in the last few hours. It has developed an eye. This is bad news as an eye means that the storm already has reached a certain level of intensity which might be bigger than a tropical storm. The NHC is still not predicting it will reach hurricane status but I doubt they are right. They are currently sending a plane to investigate so this might change soon. Prediction: The storm is expected to affect the areas of New Orleans, Mobile and the Mississippi coast. The effects are not definitive yet but it will hopefully become clearer soon. In any case start preparing for strong winds, flooding, storm surge and heavy rainfall. Take measures to protect not later but NOW.
