Bebe 17,106
It's not going to sell 17 million copies... I don't think any album could pull that off these days. If the soundtrack is a SMASH hit then maybe it could sell around the same as the 1976 soundtrack at 4 million (to put that into perspective though - the Frozen soundtrack also sold 4 million, was a giant smash, is the biggest soundtrack of the 10's and still hasn't cracked top ten of the highest selling soundtracks of all time). In reality it would be a success if it sold like 1-2 million copies WW. With that said - acknowledging that, due to streaming and people only buying singles they like, albums don't sell like that anymore - if the soundtrack manages to pull in around 4 million sales WW then I'd consider that pretty much on level with The Bodyguard. It's still a seemingly impossible task though, even if it isn't the 17 million Whitney managed.

KemOcQue 63
Tbh the Bodyguard soundtrack is like the peak of Whitney's career. I don't see how ASIB can surpass Whitney's career peak when Gaga already passed her prime commercially. It's just not very realistic

If they can make boring dead song like Let It Go too popular, they can with ASIB songs if the songs reached them. Dunk96 2,526
I'm extremely doubtful of that being the case. Gaga will have a big era when this film is out (probably even bigger than BTW) but I don't really see her surpassing The Bodyguard soundtrack. There's literally not a single household you can walk into in the world that doesn't at least have one copy of that soundtrack, either in storage or in their physical house on a CD rack. It's impossible to gauge sales anymore since everything is online. But if she does surpass The Bodyguard soundtrack then more power to her.

C1trus 4,341
It might get as huge as Whitney's, just in different kind of evidence (streams, etc). You know GP is thirsty with NormalGa right? ι'м ρυℓℓιηg үσυя sтяιηgs
