Regardless of whether he meant it or not, he should apologise as she was visibly uncomfortable and meant or not, that must be attoned for. But if he really didn't do it on purpose, I hope he isn't smeared for this. It's just such a difficult situation to judge. If it was just an embrace and nothing more, I'd get it, but he was conducting a speech at the same time and was aware he was on tv, so he maybe wasn't paying full attention to how he was holding her and might cringe looking back.

It doesn't really matter as Taco Bell is a Mexican food chain and a lot of people assume Ariana's Hispanic because, although her first name may well be Italian, Grande is definitely a Spanish word, meaning "big." So, when you see a name like that, you'll automatically assume Hispanic, and he seemed to make a Mexican food joke with it, so it was offensive to a group whether Ariana was part of it or not. I don't think that could be called racist, though. I'm British and we find that stuff hilarious, no one gives it a second thought. Ariana's had jokes about her name before, this is just one of many.

It's disgusting what he did but I do appreciate his apology and for his uncool "taco bell joke".....gross. 

This is more than just a mistake tho as he is supposed to represent a higher power. So while I can appreciate the apology...ehhhh. All I can say is eh eh.

If not it would be good to give benefit of doubt. Touching someone in a certain spot by accident can happen, it's happened to me and happened to a lot of people at different points
