It won't help, the reviewer decided the rotten or fresh status of their review, not the rotten tomatoes site.

Incorrect.

“The Rotten Tomatoes team of curators reads movie and TV reviews and then determines if those reviews are Fresh or Rotten.”

Madam Margolyes

RT talked about ASIB chances in upcoming awards season in their recent TIFF article

"Oscar darlings Nicole Kidman (Destroyer, Boy Erased), Natalie Portman (Vox Lux), Melissa McCarthy (Can You Ever Forgive Me?), and newcomers Lady Gaga (A Star is Born) and Yalitza Aparicio (Roma) are all now heavy favorites to make deep runs right into awards season"

"Bradley Cooper in particular seems to be the only sure lock for Best Actor nominations so far with his gravel-voiced country singer, Jackson Maine. Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com wrote, “Cooper does some of the best work of his career as the kind of man who’s always restless.”"

"Be warned: trailer standout song “The Shallows” is a smash-in-the-making earworm that many are already calling the one to beat for Best Original Song from a Motion Picture at next year’s Oscars."

"The crowd-pleasing A Star Is Born is the odds-on favorite right now."

Even this B- review counted as "rotten" praises Gaga tho:

"There will be much better mainstream releases in the coming months that will give "A Star is Born" a run for its money, but Lady Gaga as a major Actress contender is all but sealed. Her performance is indelibly dipped with passion and there's a sense of naturalism in her acting that is surprisingly effective. Of course, she's right at home here, playing a musician, but there is gravity and depth to her delivery that makes you root for her in the film."

This shouldn't be counted as Rotten and RT completely got it wrong. Isn't a B- a 6,5/10?

Everyone make a complaint about the rotten review here: https://fandango.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3NMwx66TSe9KAfz

Also make sure to mention that his other B- reviews (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/critic/jordan-ruimy/movies) were all counted as fresh.

Apparently this happens a lot. I don't think they will change anything, even after the reports. :toofunny:

I was researching through other movies and saw several critics classifying different films as "rotten" and "fresh", although giving the exact same rate to both.

I even got to see a 3/5 review rated as "rotten". My guess is that it's a choice of the critic himself, not the site. But who knows.

3/5 (or 60) can be rotten, sure, but B- is 80 by normal standards and 67 by Metacritic standards. Not to mention that critic has all his B- scores counted as fresh and even some of his C+ and C scores fresh as well.

I'm a bit late, but I just did!

To anyone who wants to do it as well, remember to be polite on your complaint! :bon:
