Why RT does not update? Maybe they are waiting for the TFF?

The second negative review I read about here, is the second one from The Times? Are they going to include it on the site as well?

yes it's The Times and it will be included on RT only as "rotten"

(Hope it's okay I'm using this as a catch all ASIB thread lol)

Looks like Natalie Portman is coming y'all. Vox Lux just opened with 92 (with 7 reviews) on metacritic.

Sia also wrote songs for it (Natalie is a Bowie/Gaga-esque pop star in the movie) so it looks like it's going to be a strong competitor Original Song as well.

nnn not really...there are many who said that movie sucked and there were many people who walked out of the screening (even more than Surprisia)

also some others said that Sia was wasted soo :vegas:

For real? I guess it's going to be divisive between audiences and critics because it's getting raves rn on MC. I saw that it featured a

school shooter scene

so I guess that would account for its walkouts?

Anyway, I'm glad women leads are WINNING this festival season. But it just had to happen on the year where Gaga was competing with them nnnnnnn :deadbanana:

100% means that there is no "rotten" review as of yet...which will happen eventually

Interestingly, Portman's character has ptsd and chronic pain.

I don't think Sia stands a chance in Best Original Song...she writes 193784847 songs for soundtracks and none of them get nominated. But let's pray.

Vox Lux actually seems like a movie I'd see

It doesn’t have a US release or distributor yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if they release it on October 5th to increase publicity.

I don't think Sia has a chance of winning best original song over Gaga. The academy won't snub ASIB because Gaga has written, produced and performed the songs live. Plus i think Vox Lux songs are electro pop as the reviews say. An electro pop song cannot beat a power ballad no matter how good it is. Plus Natalie's voice vs Gaga's voice? :poot:

Can't wait to get those Natalie Portman Gaga inspired bops written by Sia. We love a queen that inspires characters
