I didn't say I don't have a problem with it, I said that it's just something I've reluctantly accepted as the norm. So much of rap is about shocking people. There's nothing more to be said. I notice that people get so much more hung up over things like homophobic slurs but have nothing to say regarding the amount of glorified violence in rap songs, talking about being notorious killers and being drug lords and all that. Once the 90's were over, it's like the public no longer cared about that stuff and focused on the amount of homophobia and sexism in rap. Which is noble and all, but it's like they forgot the other stuff even exists. Unless you put a really sanitised form of rap out there, you will say shocking stuff. It's all posturing, peacocking, whatever you want to call it. In rap battles, not everything your opponent said about you was actually true. Rap is largely about performance. It disappoints me that Eminem still feels he needs to rely on homophobia to shock despite him saying he supports gay marriage over the last decade or so but everyone in rap does their own shocking thing, so...it is what it is. It's when there's suggested violence towards certain groups that I have a problem. He said some really graphically violent stuff about Ann Coulter once that I thought was appalling. Sexism is one thing, violent sexism is another. I notice not one person has come for Nicki's verse on Barbie Dreamz where she makes an insinuated gay joke about Young Thug, saying that she caught him in her dressing room stealing her dresses (he's been known to wear those male skirts on occasion). I thought there would be some push back on that, considering her gay fanbase but nothing. Maybe it needs to be spelled out for some.

Straight white men do get away with everything which is why Trump is the president of the US. So yes, I will continue to call them out and hold them accountable because that’s what happens when you dont. 🤷🏽‍♂️

"Little to no consequences"? You're talking like a white guy could literally robbed your house and avoid to even pass by a justice court after being caught lol. That sounds a tad exaggerated no?

Trump was elected cause he told the racist population what they wanted to hear and because his opposant was a terrible candidate. Saying it's mainly because he's a white male, therefore can get away with all scandals, is the simplification& exaggeration. 

In France there's a woman who have the same politics when it comes to migrants and she's popular too cause every country has its racist bit sadly. This woman here also has a lot of fans despite saying awful things, just like trump in the US.  She may be president one day ( even if she's not a white man ) so it's not only about him not being punished for his words cause he's a dude.

The thing is she never had someone that 60% of the country found "not trustworthy" like HRC to run against her for the elections. If it was the case she would possibly be elected. And in France there's direct suffrage so it has been easier for trump that it would be for her since the US system don't make you need the "popular majority" to be president.
