duckworth 2,955
Seems to it that Chazelle and Gosling have done it again! The Academy-winning director has teamed up once again with Ryan Gosling, the star of his last film, La La Land which won 6 Oscars. First Man is about Neil Armstrong and the mission that brought his team to the moon. The film is executive produced by Steven Spielberg and premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 29 where A Star is Born is also set to premiere on the 31st. Currently, the film holds an 81 on Metacritic and a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes. The film was praised for its visuals, the direction of Chazelle and Gosling's acting. I strongly believe that this film will be the "Interstellar", or "Gravity" of the year. Acclaimed and Oscar-winning while earning a lot in the box office. This is a lock for multiple Oscar noms and wins. I'M SERIOUSLY HYPED WITH THIS. CHAZELLE NEVER FAILS TO IMPRESS. FROM WHIPLASH, TO LA LA LAND, AND NOW TO FIRST MAN. GET THOSE OSCARS!! Off-topic: I'm really praying for a similar or closer reception for ASIB on Aug 31.

Gypsy Life 118,907
This is ASIB's enemy and we should only be reporting the negative reviews. Maybe even dig in the homophobic and racist past of the cast.
River 116,999
I read that the reviews were actually mixed at the festival After Gravity, the biggest fail and don't deserve acclaim movie ever, I'm not into space movies So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
_Lam 597
On rottentomatoes, it says the review are really great, but it's still a traditional and safe movie.

Galagala 4,611
It's gonna gain both commercial and critical success since it's a Damien's work! However, in terms of the Oscars...... 1. I don't think this kind of space-related as well as biographical film could win Best Picture(such as Gavity and Lincoln),but yeah, it will get nominated for sure. 2.There are other formidable rivals this year such as "Blackkklansman" ,Alfonso's"Roma" ,and "If Beale street could talk" from director of "Moonlight". 3.Ryan Gosling will have a big chance to win Best Actor (against ChristianBale and Cooper). Sorcerer 12,507
Despite the acclaim, I think it is still that traditional biopic that gets nominated for awards but never wins anyway. I think Roma, Blackkklansman, The Favourite, If Beale Street Could Talk, and of course, A Star Is Born , are more interesting.
