Let Gaga grow without the stigma that she will never reach Madonna's level. It's detrimental and limitative to their potential to put down new artists because of this mindset. And yes, Gaga did push boundaries and transformed herself with every era so far.

In what way was Joanne safe and quiet? She released a pop country album when the public wanted songs like Closer. She talked about death, social issues and campaigned for a woman half of the country hated. Yes, she's not in your face 24/7 like she was in 2011 but that doesn't mean she's "playing it safe and being quiet".

I agree. It may have seem like time went bye quickly but literally almost half of Gaga’s career has been her playing it safe and being quiet.

where?

Gaga is reinventing herself each era. It's not like she has been crazy all her life and just now she is simple and quiet. You can't compare The Fame (Monster) to Born this way neither. She evolves constantly and she'll never be the same twice.

I don't think there's anything wrong with what she said. It's true, there is only one Madonna. And there's also only one Lady Gaga. There's also one Donatella. One plus one plus one equals three, which is the number of women I just mentioned.

And the greatest risk for Gaga with Joanne era is that she might lose a lot of fans because the era really alienated us . Who would have thought that she'll have a MV as simple as Million Reasons ? :triggered:

I think what she said is just fine and honest.

Or, she can say other adjectives more direct than "quiet".

@dit moved your topic to ‘Gaga Thoughts’, it could’ve also been fine where it was because this is from a proper source and it’s about Madonna too, not just Gaga, but overall it’s better to put people discussing Gaga (even with other people included) into this section please

Posted this here because it wasn’t warnable but I did want/need to tell you that your topic was moved and why

I'm so over the comparisons. It's kind of flattering because Madonna was the original pop queen, but like enough already Gaga is Gaga and Madonna is Madomna. It's so tired already.

you say comparisons should stop but you are comparing Madonna to Madomna? :lana:
