Don't get me wrong, I LOVE both, I've been stanning for both since i was 8, but anyone who thinks Gaga is the new Madonna, or better for that matter, is delulu AF. There is no denying that Madonna is/was bigger than Gaga will ever be. To say Gaga is the new Madonna but better is simply bullshit, because it will never happen.

There are still lots of monsters pressed with the reductive comment, which continues to be taken out of context. Madonna didn't call Gaga reductive, but the song.

Go watch the interview. Gaga says that on FF2, but that's not true, and not what she actually says.

The interviewer asks Madonna how she felt when she heard BTW... If it felt annoying... And Madonna replied: 'It feels reductive.' So no, Madonna wasn't talking about Gaga as a person or an artist, but about how it felt when she heard BTW.

This is just a completely fabricated feud that fans on both sides love to keep alive.

I don’t agree. And I don’t think you’re right precisely because you’re exposing your own experience, not the outcome for both artists.

maybe you are now aware of the lawsuits against Madonna, but the general audience is still very much aware of how “reductive” Born This Way was. And i don’t think people will forget about that. While Madonna’s problems are mostly only known by Gaga stans.

plus, I don’t think it’s fair to say there’s still a feud. The word reductive has become a joke, that’s it. Gaga talked about it basically for the first time years later for her documentary, but for the obvious reasons.
