Okay wow, the people saying she isn’t a main pop girl are deluded. Her following on social media is INSANE, 126 MILLION FOLLOWERS ON IG (more than Beyoncé, Katy, all the Kardashians/Jenners, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Miley, and yes, even our queen Gaga)!! The only thing in pop culture news is about her. She scored a number one album with Sweetener. She’s associated with a ton of huge performers and stars (Madonna literally did a voiceover in her video). She oozes superstardom and if you can’t see that... well... 

And before anyone says to stop pitting people against each other, y’all started it.

The real question is if Taylor is a main pop girl. She's been pulling AMAZING numbers for years but the GP (meaning 30yo+ people) don't know who she is.

Ariana may be one in the future, but not for now. She's at the level as 1D was back in 2013. For now, she's still considered as a singer for tenenagers, like Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, but she definitely has enough talent to be a main pop girl in the future.

She's a pop girl for those who think mediocrity is acceptable. I like Ariana but she's not at the level of Gaga, Britney or Beyonce.

She has been a main pop girl for a while now of course no where near to the level of Bey, Gaga, Britney and even Rihanna and Katy. Also I don’t think she has the “best” chance of headlining the Super Bowl this year. P!nk, Britney, and Rihanna have a better chance of doing it.

Yeah. I mean, there's not as much competition as 2008-2011, but we're not talking about who's number one. Ariana has bops, hits, vocals and I think she's beginning to slowly evolve as an artist.

she is not a 'pop girl' like Britney, Gaga, Katy Perry, people throw around the word 'pop girl'/'princess of pop' waaay too much when the people that they give these titles to do not even make pop music or are not even worthy of having such titles

She's the biggest female pop star in the world. She's pulling massive numbers and scoring solo hits. She grabs headlines with almost everything she does. Her tour will most likely sell very well, just like her last one. By every objective metric she is a "main pop girl." She doesn't excite you? Her new (critically acclaimed) alum isn't what you were hoping it would be? Her live performances don't quite dazzle you like previous pop star did when you were a child and more easily impressed? Too bad. None of that matters. The public has spoken, and they've made her one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. So she is. Deal with it.
