josephalexander 156 Posted August 24, 2018 Share Posted August 24, 2018 While I think SOPHIE and Boys Noize industrial, abstract electropop will be evident sonically, I don't think it's going to sound just like them. This is Lady Gaga we're talking about. She'll do exactly what she wants to do and it'll have the flair of those producers but she wouldn't just snatch their sound like that. I think we're definitely getting a pop album, but probably not a like bubblegum radio pop album and I'm so here for that. I think we're getting a gritty, warehouse techno-electro album. It just makes sense given the producers and the visuals we've been getting from her lately. And like, she's working with modular synths which are SO uniquely complicated. It'd be the most unique way to approach techno music without rehashing what so many people have already done. Like, leave it to Lady Gaga to use modular synthesis in a mainstream pop record.
