Economy 52,861 Posted August 24, 2018 Share Posted August 24, 2018 https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/08/22/us-bonds-and-fixed-income-fed-minutes-in-focus.html US 10 year debt bonds have fallen to 2.833% after the Fed showed division among the committee over how fast to raise interest rates and on what the inflation outlook was US debt interest reached as high as 3% some months ago but has struggled to keep the level much less go higher as investors continue to question how much longer the economy will keep growing in this expansion and how high inflation could really go There is also doubts among investors that the Fed will raise rates much more and so they are pricing in a possible plateau in rates or even rate cuts for the next downturn. Economy 52,861 Posted August 24, 2018 Author Share Posted August 24, 2018 Helps keep finances from blowing even more out of control but it's not a good sign as far as confidence goes Canada's debt interest is also falling.
