But this whole Cardi B makes me feel like she can't handle competition. Just like MDNA. Madonna is the undeniable Queen of Pop. But when Gaga appeared on the scene, she couldn't handle that another girl was doing amazing. The comparisons between both stars were everywhere. Did Gaga copy Madonna? I don't think so. We can't deny Madge has influenced all the pop stars. She has a long long career and she has done a lot of things. It's pretty evident they were going to be some similarities. The same thing is happening now. People and Nicki herself are saying Cardi is copying Onika's style. Is she really? Everything Nicki is doing right now reminds me how Madonna acted back in 2011. I love Madonna, but I think she was really mean and shady towards a new player on the race. A player that was doing well and people started to love her. SEXODUS 5,927 Posted August 23, 2018 Share Posted August 23, 2018 I find Nicki to be a more talented rapper than Cardi, and the reason Cardi’s winning the GP and the charts is that she’s new on the scene and people find her approach fresher than an overexposed Minaj. That said, Nicki is a narcissist at heart. I mean, she did call an album QUEEN. Even Madonna didn’t do that though she totally could. Nicki just needs to listen to more Kendrick Lamar and stay H.U.M.B.L.E. I just think, and the same goes for the Madonna/Gaga situation, that it must be hard to be on top and then see yourself slip away when a new player enters the game. In some way I think they both feel like that they created that position, inspiring other people to follow that same path, but are at the same time jealous of how “easy” it is for newcomers since no one showed them way back the right way to go. This especially in Madonna’s case. Nicki just needs to stop being so insecure ‘cause she’s sabotaging herself with her own hands.
