Age of consent defines the age that you are considered a minor. Google is your best friend. Yes I agree google is my best friend: “In the United States as of 1995, minor is generally legally defined as a person under the age of 18. Although in the context of alcohol or gambling laws, people under the age of 21 may also sometimes be referred to as "minors". However, not all minors are considered "juveniles" in terms of criminal responsibility.” https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minor_(law) Now go bother someone else please. I find it gross but I don't feel that it shouldn't be ILLEGAL if the guy was 17 at the time! 17 is more than old enough to consent to sex!! The country really needs to make the age of consent 15 or 16 nationwide. The fact that the age of consent is 18 in some states is insane. It's only 18 in Cali and a few other states. I know a law here in Florida allows for 16 years olds to consent to sex with people in their lower 20's but they can always come for those statutory rape charges afterwards by revoking consent after sex. In the U.S., it's just best to be aware of your partner's age You're stinky
