She just came back from Morocco, with her full Berber attire, an attire that my grandmother wears, and that is a gem of Moroccan Berber culture (Berbers are the indigenous population of North Africa). This is what cultural appropriation is, it's the first time I'm experiencing it on this magnitude, and although I love Madonna, I just don't like how it feels. I am also from south of Morocco (well my ethnicity but wasnt born there) and I love the fact she wore that, I don't see anything wrong with it at all, it's kinda like showing it off to the whole world which I love. So everyone has different opinions when it comes to cultural appropriation

She's allowed to wear it, I just don't like how you say it's just a "dress", it's not the same as buying a Zara dress, know the difference

TO SOME OTHERS, it means something more. Madonna wouldn’t even agree with you in that she only wore it because she liked it but the fact that so many people are dissing the outfit or not understanding its full meaning and cultural context shows that Madonna, despite having, I think, the best intentions of honoring Moroccan Berber culture, might have failed in doing so. This users opinions are completely valid and understandable. And I do think Madonna is slightly at fault. I do think she personally respects and honors the culture immensely but I don’t know if she went far enough into bringing those sentiments onto a big stage like the VMAs
