I didn’t know these were the lyrics

“Nothing's too cool to take me from you
New York is not just a tan that you never lose
Love is the new denim or black
Skeleton guns are wedding bells in the attic
Get Ginger ready, climb to El Camino front
Won't poke holes in the seat with my heels
Cause that's where we make love
Come on run
Turn the car on and run

I always thought it was “We’ll pole holes in the seats with my heels” and “Just come on and run”

also didnt even know the “Get Ginger ready, climb to El Camino front” was even a line, idk what I thought it was but I didn’t know it was that...:lolga:

I love this cryptic ass bridge, what is a skeleton gun and why is it in the attic?  Why is she running if there is a car right there?

LOVE JUNKIE

For the longest time I never knew these lyrics until I looked them up. I think it's almost impossible to understand what she's singing unless you read the lyrics tbh

I always thought "New York is not just a tan that you never lose" was "New York is not just a town that you never knew" which I feel like makes more sense

Ok, so I guess the skeleton gun is a mystery? :)

I remember all of the analyses and threads on this way back in 2011, haha.

My favorite one was that skeleton guns, which are used for administering caulk for home improvement (fixing sh*t in the attic lmao), are a symbol for retaining something that may have been broken in the past. In this case, her relationship with New York, and also probably Lüc, withstanding her experiences after all of these years. Their love and relationship may not be conventional ("are wedding bells in the attic"), but it's true.

Also, she seemed to have a fixation with guns during the BTW phase.

3 points in and ready for more

Poke holes in the seats with heels mean they'll have sex in the car and Luc Carl's El Camino was nicknamed Ginger because of its color.

Skeleton guns = glue guns

Are wedding bells = marrying (committing to)

In the attic = place where Gaga used to work on her music and fashion

So she's basically referring to the day when she wasn't famous yet and used to make her own clothes in the attic and how she commited to her dream to make it in the music industry.

Those lyrics are quite phenomenal and very personal.
