Not because the photograph is particularly good, but because of how fearless she was at the time. At the height of rumors circulating about her actually being a man, she had the balls to put a strap-on in her pants on the cover of a magazine. “I want to wear a **** strapped to my vagina. We all know one of the biggest talking points of the year was that I have a ****, so why not give them what they want? I want to comment on that in a beautiful, artistic way. How I wanna show it. And I want to call this piece Lady Gaga Dies Hard.” When I say I want to see a little "old Gaga" this is what I'm referring to; humor, experimentation, and fearlessness.
