Yours Truly doesn't deserve it. But it's still a bop

I have to admit, I’m surprised she’s got a more critically acclaimed album than Gaga..

You know this is just my opinion, right?

BEYONCÉ is a good album but it doesn’t deserve to be ranked that high. There’s only like 5-6 good songs on there, the rest are boring and way too long.

And TFM is way better then a “78”. Give me a break. :saladga: I hope LG6 will be most critically acclaimed one yet.

tbh only Confession deserves it.. it's really an amazing cohesive album.

Isaac itself is above all the songs from all the albums in the list.. including Gaga.

The problem with Gaga so far is that when there are so many songs in the album, her idea and vision gets lost.. this is why TFM is her most critically acclaim album, it's short.

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

When ARTPOP first came out, I always thought it was Gaga at her best. But I’m finally seeing why people think it’s her worst (not that it’s bad, just not as good).

But I agree with some but of all the Ariana albums - Yours Truly got the highest score? Dangerous Woman’s singles alone are the best in her discography.

Not completely disagreeing with you, but Rainbow was a huge step away from anything Kesha ever did prior.

Oh yeah, I agree, I'm not saying it's EVERY album (Rainbow), but definitely a large majority :)

sometimes I think her albums rank so low is because she's Lady Gaga.

the name carries weight, but no one was taking her seriously until 2016

Lemonade - 90 :ladyhaha: like WTF, you can like the visuals (even though they're overrated too) but the album deserves a 70 score AT MOST. Same for BEYONCÉ.

I found a few albums by female pop stars that are more critically acclaimed than any Gaga's album. I wonder, do you agree with critics that these albums are better than anything she has come out with?

Beyonce (Lemonade) - 92

Lorde (Melodrama) - 91

Beyonce (self-titled) - 85

Kesha (Rainbow) - 81

Ariana Grande (Yours Truly) - 81

Madonna (Confessions On A Dance Floor) - 80

Madonna (Music) - 80

Nelly Furtado (Whoa, Nelly) - 79

Gaga's albums:

The Fame Monster - 78

The Fame - 71

Born This Way - 71

Joanne - 67

ARTPOP - 61

No. All those album didn't deserve their scores

Gaga deserved more

I've listened to most of those albums all the way through and Gaga's albums are the only ones I can stand to listen to all the way through more than once, the only ones I truly feel are true artistic albums throughout. Personally, I find Lemonade only had a couple of memorable songs on it, is highly overrated and the only album from those that I truly enjoyed was Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Right? I thought Dangerous Woman was her most critically acclaimed album.

There are so many ways to measure how acclaimed an album is, and you choose the one with the least credibility - Metacritic? @TheAlpha

Metacritic is known for being extremely inaccurate in reflecting how well an album receives. If you want to know how well an album receives, you gotta read all the reviews given to that album, there will usually be a brief summary in the album's Wikipedia page, and maybe check out the accolades that the album has received, such as the awards and nominations received by the album.

Selena Gomez's Revival - 74
Demi Lovato's Confident - 74
Adele's 25 (ALBUM OF THE YEAR WINNER) - 75

Do you really think these albums are on the same quality? Even Joanne which got a 67 score was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, if Metacritic is so great, why isn't Revival nominated?

Justin Bieber's Purpose (ALBUM OF THE YEAR nomination) - 64
Kesha's Rainbow - 81

Why isn't Kesha nominated for Album of the Year but Justin Bieber's was?

What I'm trying to say is that Metacritic's scores fluctuate very easily, one critic who gives an extremely low score to the album will severely affect the album's score despite other critics giving it a high score.

Right? I thought Dangerous Woman was her most critically acclaimed album.

It is. Stop thinking Metacritic is the perfect measure.

Anyone who thinks Yours Truly is more acclaimed than Dangerous Woman is is delusional.

Can’t we as fans do something about these scores? Like voting, or commenting or however this works?
