The time Gaga relentlessly hit on Bryan Newman on national TV

SO I was re-watching the time she performed Orange Colored Sky in 2011, this was pretty much the first time she performed jazz after becoming famous and it didn't fully snatch my weave at the time... but today, omg. 

First ov all, ha voice. So light! So bright! Her singing style has changed so much  The balance of girly head notes and growls!  So good

BUT after a few years of learning more Gaga history and filling in some knowledge gaps I didn't have before, re-watching this, I understood the absolute SHADINESS of her behavior on another level  Wig!

SO as we all know in 2011, Gaga was back on with her pre-fame New York bartender boyfriend Luc Carl. He was the subject of a lot of her Born This Way era artistry. Some of her songs praised him, however, after releasing the album, they broke up. It was not a friendly breakup and she alludes to his low quality boyfrienditude often. But sistren, we all been knew that already. 

What I didn't realize before was that Bryan Newman was actually friends with Luc before Bryan met Gaga. They actually met each other through Luc if I understand Bryan Newman's wikipedia page correctly lol. So, Gaga does this performance with Bryan post-breakup during which she hits on him relentlessly the entire time. She covers his face with her hand while he plays, she teases him and calls him 'bad boy,' she lays it on thicc.

You're probably thinking "Yeah yeah, she is just doing a little jazz chanteuse stage flirting, it doesn't mean anything" (if it aint got that swang  Well, I'm here to tell you that it does. )

Obviously, she wasn't flirting with Bryan because she is into Bryan, he's married and Bryan. And I think the flirting was too overt to be a simple case of  "oh hehe this is how just i perform jazz" (see: NOT ruthlessly flirting w Tony or other band members. Tho she has been known to seduce her shirtless guitarists ) 

 Was she hitting on Luc's former friend Bryan onstage as an intentional shade to him? This bish says YES And I respect her more for it

Yeah Brian and Luc were good friends. There are some photos of them( and there is even a photo taken with Papa Joe too).

Gaga mentioned in 2016, at Grammy Museum(Jane Ortner Award) : Newman and I've been friends for ten years...I used to date his best friend (meaning Luc I guess)

I think Gaga and Brian are just great friends, like good sister-brother relashionship .

Yes I remember she mentioned it when she sang Bang Bang, she said it was about her ex who also used to be Brian's best friend. Thinking about it, it seems that Brian and Lüc aren't friends anymore ?

She has always been flirty with Brian onstage. I think it's part of their friendship and the way they like to perform.
