VOLANTIS 16,406
Both these performances were miles ahead of the VMA 2013 one. Understandable too she gave MTV what it deserved for cancelling her original ideas. Quartz 12,535
It was cute and theatrical. And it wasn't safe. Come on, the Oz one was different. And the involvement of the audience as flowers, like come on why hate on this performance? Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
derpmonster 22,412
"I live for the applause Let's go to Oz!" Spoiler It may be cringe but it's cute. Stop being grownups boiz and gulz and kidz Check out iTunes data & graphs at CHARTPOP.live
xoxo Craig 55,649
I liked the Venus part of the XFactor performance, but after that The GMA was okay, I quite liked her perform Somewhere Over The Rainbow but I didn't really get the whole Wizard of Oz theme... especially when she was there to perform her new single at the time Applause which is a EDM record End Racism Now

Oriane 21,016
I love these performances ! The GMA one was perfect for Applause : very kitsch, Broadway-influenced, and I love the costume changes ! It's incredible to see how different she is from one moment to another. That's one of the things I loved about the ARTPOP era, all these times she showed us the behind-the-scenes and how easily she could change her looks. There was something very theatrical about it. And I love the X Factor one, I never got the hate for it. The beginning with the guitar and the dancers around is everything. And the raw DWUW performance is perfect, and once again one of the things I loved about ARTPOP, when she was natural, with her real hair, nude makeup, almost naked... Her way to say "See, you always say you never get the see the real me and that I'm always hiding behind the outfits. Now you see me as I really am. Was it all worth it ?". In your last thread, you literally liked every comment that says Gaga is sh*t and tried to convince everyone here that Gaga is not the queen of pop and the thing is you couldn't even give a constructive point as to why you hold your stance. Reported btw. What? Uh okay I guess you either you can’t get my sense of humor or something because I LOVE Gaga, otherwise I wouldn’t be here but report me for what? I just wanted to see if people here also disliked these performances cause I wasn’t here when she did those. I’m sorry but an opinion is an opinion I don’t have to like everything Gaga does to be a fan. Anyways you should criticize the whole fanbase I made a thread about heartfelt performances and it got like 4 replies so I’m not the one responsible for people loving negativity. Now if you can’t chill and if you have to take every goddamn thing seriously just don’t come into my threads. Plus, I’ve never liked any post saying Gaga is ****. Plus I’ve reported you too. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

Bloodyjack 794
11 hours ago, SKANK said: The expression "friend of Dorothy" predates Judy Garland as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, it's actually a reference to literary icon and fruit fly Dorthy Parker."Heterosexuality is not normal, it's just common." - Dorothy Parker. Dorothy Parker's life and death resonate more closely with the themes found in Applause then The Wizard of Oz does. It would have been interesting if all her costume changes in the performance were recreations of Parker's multiple suicide attempts. But..I guess a community theater production of Oz, with it's shallow nod to gay iconography, is worth praise? In some versions but for most queer people it is a wizard of Oz reference. Loads of people have used it on me in the past to reference Judy. I actually had a conversation with jiknx monsoon about it once and you can see her discuss it on the drag world panel
