I know there aren't school shootings in France, but still in case of an emergency, sometimes kids need their phones to call their parents or police etc... Yeah some teachers did that in HS too. Or they asked to put them in our bags and turn them off. Some just didn't care at all For national exams they should be turned off in the bag, all bag in front of the whiteboard.
