The ban on smartphones as well as other kinds of internet-connected devices, such as tablets, applies to schoolchildren between 3 and 15 years of age, and was passed by lawmakers on Monday. Will the schools have an allotment of phones they can utilize for situations like that? That being said, I can understand the sentiment of banning phones at school. My HS allowed us to use our phones, my sister’s HS didn’t allow it. We could use it during study hall, advisory and while we wait for class to start, but honestly, people just used them in class. I don't know if making an official ban will do anything, to be honest. It just does not make sense to totally ban them. My HS said you could not use them during class, which is fine, but in the halls/lunch it didnt matter. They were debating about it. At some points they wanted to put the phones in individual pouch when they enter the classroom. But it was too complicated to set up. In my HS there was no private spot with phones so if theres a problem you have to pretty much say it in front of the blabbing gossiping desk people.
