JazzGa 14,620
I'd personally like to see her write more self-love anthems about not giving a fuq what you look like, what your body type is, etc. But stronger. I think if she cared less about looking glam and pretty and made a strong statement about loving yourself no matter what you look like, that would resonate with people. It would match up with the appeal that "All About that Bass" had, but it doesn't send a very strong message to see her singing about loving yourself no matter what you look like while simultaneously looking as pretty and femme as possible. sipthistea 21,099
Her music is repetitive and boring. The only songs from her discography that I like are Like I'm Gonna Lose You and No.
River 116,212
She's very annoying me, like she has some facial expressions that are not nice at all to see as a viewer.. And she's very boring, I'm not really interested in her... she did a one song, was nice, we move on.. But at least she's trying and giving something to her fans to listen.. I guess her 3rd album will be the last.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Smother Em Eh 7,095
Her music was starting to sound the same, was childish and wasn’t going anywhere. So the GP probably got bored. Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views!

StrawberryBlond 14,820
Aside from her brand of sugary sweet pop music just not being what the public wants right now, at the end of the day, she was always a one hit wonder. Even after all this time, she's still widely thought of as "the All About That Bass girl." and when your lead single is all the public truly remembers about you when you're trying to release album #3, it's not good. I knew this was destined to happen sooner or later. She clearly got lucky with her breakout song because it stood out, being so different. But when she started creating the same kinda songs over and over, the novelty wore off real fast. Her attitude in all her songs was off-putting too. For the most part, her singles involve telling guys what to do (Dear Future Husband, No, Can't Dance, Let You Be Right, All The Ways), telling a guy off (Lips Are Movin', No, Better, No Excuses) and having a big ego (All About That Bass, Me Too, I'm A Lady). Only one of her singles don't involve any of these topics (Like I'm Gonna Lose You is just about being in love). And that's just the singles, she has other album tracks that involve these topics too. Suffice to say that even women found this tiresome. Songs like these suggest you're really high maintenance and self-obsessed. I guess she thought girls would love sassy songs about loving yourself and telling boys where to go but the fact is that lots of girls have low self-esteem and are trying hard to impress boys, so I think she underestimated the market for this kinda stuff. And let's not forget that Troy Carter became her manager after debut (boy, did his head turn post-Gaga as soon as he saw someone else was the next big thing). He hasn't got the knack anymore for making stars and he gave up on Gaga as soon as she wasn't as profitable. I have no doubt that he's doing the same to Meghan after her second album dropped off and stopped trying to get her promo spots. I've barely seen her promote anywhere this era. ThisGuyTony 30,209
Thank You wasn't a good album. No Excuses was a terrible lead. She lost her streaming power and a lot of her audience/fans after Me Too (myself included).

She just seems so shallow, because all I hear her sing about is how men are pigs and that all they do is lie. Self-acceptance (AATB) is great and all, but I think she's a total hypocrite if she sings about how women got to love themselves blah blah and yet she always looks like a ****ing barbie doll. She even has the same dull facial expressions. I don't know much about her, besides hearing her on the radio and a couple threads here, so feel free to convince me of the opposite. well i guess we're far from the shallow now

LOVE JUNKIE 3,299
Haven't all her singles been performing worse and worse since All About That Bass? The fact that her career is where it is now doesn't surprise me at all considering that's the exact trajectory her career has had all along on a three day bender
JohnWayne92 2,162
I LOVED her 2nd album, for me, it was miles ahead of her first...but she is just kind of making the same music, and for me, that is kind of a turn off. It's the same thing that happened with Katy Perry, not necessarily the success because PRISM was a huge success, but that's when I lost interest in her. I think she needs to work a few different producers, get out of her box, and then she would be a force to be reckoned with. For now tho, everything she has released for this new era sounds like Thank You part 2.
