OK — here's how impeachment of a POTUS works — for the international crowd.

Impeachment is essentially a trial of the President by congress. It's began in the House, the "lower chamber" with 435 members (each state gets a certain number based on population). Once the House approves, based on simple majority vote, it moves over to the Senate (100 people, 2 from each state). The Senate then decides whether or not to convict. If 60 Senators vote yes, the President is removed from office.

Only two presidents have been impeached: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Neither were convicted in the Senate, so they weren't removed from office. Nixon was nearly impeached, but he resigned before the process began.

A small group of Democrats in the House have have already drawn up articles of impeachment against Trump. It failed to pass by a wide margin.

Honestly, I would just try to inpeach him again and again, until they're like "F*ck it, they're pretty persistant. Might as well give it a go."

They need 2/3rds of the House to impeach him, so that requires democratic support. That isn't happening.

Don't worry, but this could be a setup to "push" Trump to fire Rosenstein for NOTHING.

Heh, no chance tho. Dems aren't likely to get 50 in Senate, and no way enough Rs join them to reach 60 in any case.

Everything bad that's happening is what we deserve.  Those out there protesting and disrupting the system are doing good work -- but things won't change until we break down the various socio-economic barriers. It's the GOP, Democrats, corporate world (I'd even suggest the education system).

Capitalism is the root of the evil but so is the US population's complacency.  It would be so awesome if many of the US citizens walked out of their jobs and screwed the system for more than a day (granted it doesn't affect someone's life/death). 

But, again, people are blinded by the system at hand and don't really want democracy.  Oh well! Mother Earth will take care of the human species just like destiny did for the dinosaurs -- if you catch my drift (of course dinosaurs didn't deserve it!)

There have been protests planned in case this happens for almost a year now (well if Rosenstein gets fired/replaced, which is probably going to be the outcome of this - regardless of whether he's impeached or not)
