Barbara's version was panned, and it wasnt a huge box office success, BUT it was still iconic and as others have said it had a multiplatinum soundtrack and a number one single. (Plus Best Song at the oscars and several golden globes)

Literally every one of them is a hit. Barbra's ASIB won 5 golden globes (Best picture, actor, actress, song and score), an Oscar for her plus its single Evergreen was #1 on Billboard for so many weeks. And won Song of the year at the Grammys. The soundtrack is multi platinum as well. :vegas:

Well off topic but is ASIB releasing in India?

OT- i cant wait anymore hoping all the reviews after release are great as well:vegas:

Ugh. My fave starring in such a highly praised FEATURE film. It’s like a dream come true ****. The best timeline. I’m shocked. 2017 me would never believe.

I am curious what kind of doors ASIB will open for Gaga..... More movie roles? Blockbuster movies? :oprah:

I remember Bradley being in the audience of her Sound of Music Tribute. :diane:

so why tf did people say the remakes were flops so this would be destined to flop?

Actually quite the opposite from what I heard, the previous movies were so big and successful that Gaga admitted to being intimidated by the legacy of the film.

She said in some interview that she kept on reminding herself as to who played the film so that she will match up to their standards.
