The Fame- LoveGame

This lead to making Paparazzi the 3rd single in the UK and making Eh Eh a single ( for some reason) and LoveGame the 4th single.

The Fame Monster- Alejandro

The music video.

Born This Way- Judas

I would've said BTW, but it managed to have huge success. Even though Judas has success its first few weeks, it would've had even more if it wasn't released during Holy Week. The mv was criticized a lot...

ARTPOP- Do What U Want

R Kelly being featured in the track, no music video...

Joanne- IDK.

Thoughts ?

Copied and Paste lol

The music video was censored in many countries after its release in 2009. The video faced censorship troubles in Australia where it was rated AV18+ by Network Ten for the "suggestive video footage involving bondage and sexual acts". The channel demanded an edited version of the video which would not violate censorship rules.[57] Video Hitsrefused to air the video in its G- and PG-rated time slots. They cited "numerous sexual references both visually and lyrically" as the reason they could not create a child-friendly edit without bleeping the repeated hook "I wanna take a ride on your disco stick".[5] However, Australian programs like Rage and cable networks Channel V and MTV aired the video in its original form.[57]

The video also faced a ban from MTV Arabia citing the same reason as Australia. Since it was very rare to ban videos on MTV, head of MTV Arabia Samer al Marzouki commented, "We represent the young generation's mentality and culture so we can't play something that conflicts with that. If they can't watch something comfortably with their brother, sisters or friends then we will not play it."[60] In the United States, VH1 and MTV played an edited version that removed the scenes showing Gaga naked, and blurred the label on a bottle of alcohol held by a dancer, but they did not change the lyrics.[61]

I don't think there was any controversy regarding the singles in the Joanne era. Maybe except for MR because she kept performing it and the fans just had it with her :smh:

Lovegame was actually super controversial around me when it came out, but many other provocative songs were being released around that time. It was pretty much only being criticized because it was Gaga.

LOL, I swear how fans say that when she promoted Bad Romance and Poker Face more....Why is it bad she kept performing MR more? Do they not want a successful single during the Joanne era or do they ?

The Fame: Paparazzi. The music video and VMAs performance surely were one of the biggest controversial moments in her career. It topped LoveGame for sure.

The Fame Monster: I would say Bad Romance. Alejandro was only controversial in the USA, while Bad Romance was a controversial moment WW.

Born This Way: Born This Way. Judas was once again only negative controversial in the USA, while Born This Way was positive controversial WW with the LGBTQ+ love song.

ARTPOP: DWUW. I don't think I need to explain this one.

Joanne: John Wayne. May the dog and one of the Gagas in the music video rest in peace. :rip:
