If my memory serves me (so take this with a grain of salt), someone a few months ago said that this photo shoot ended up being a fake ARTPOP photo shoot leak sometime before Applause was released as a single in August of 2013.

I always thought of this as an unusual yet beautiful photoshoot. Like half the photos you can't even see her clearly yet she somehow always seems to add her own energy and personal vibe to it that nobody else could pull off better.

I heard about this rumour. This came along with all those fake ARTPOP leaked snippets. I believe it was mid 2013 (so yes, around before ARTPOP's promo + release was announced. 

I remember this cover art and thinking it was real
