But what gender you identify as doesn't factor into sexuality. If I'm attracted to a biological man who loves to express himself androgynously, I'm still a homosexual.

Sexual attraction is more than just sex organs. Things like boobs, lips, abs, and many other things. All kinds of combinations happen there, with trans people, intersex, etc. There’s also the romantic aspect of it. You could just fall in love with someone’s mind as well

But how does that differ from a bisexual?

An attractive male and an attractive female are walking down the street. A heterosexual man sees both but is only attracted to the woman. A homosexual man sees both but is only attracted to the man. A bisexual man thinks "I want to sleep with both of them." A pansexual man thinks "I want to sleep with both of them." What is the difference between the last two?

I am not trying to crack a joke or be shady, I genuinely don't understand what the distinction is supposed to be.

I dont think im the right person to explain but Bisexual is attracted to both of the sexes but Pansexual isnt attracted to any kind of sex. Its like a Black/White situation  but Pan likes all the shades of gray (i know...cheap analogy) :selena:  you can like a guy because of the fact he’s a guy or just like him for who he is regardless of being a guy or a girl or queer etc

And that's true. But I find men with a great sense of humor to be very attractive and yet there is no such thing as a "humorsexual".

I understand that sexual attraction is more than sex organs but we can't just be making up terms to cover every minute variation. At the end of the day, it's just a biological reality that some people are attracted to the same sex, opposite sex, both sexes, or no sexes. Adding "pansexuality" to this list just seems frivolous to me.

There are only 2 human sexes. It's not some societal construct -- it's a biological truth. Gender is another topic (that I don't want to get into), but there are only 2 human sexes. You either get an X and a Y chromosome and become a male, or an X and an X chromosome and become a female, or you have some mix of the two (intersex). If you are transgender, you were assigned one sex at birth, but feel that you are the other.

If you don't want to accept this then you better start suing every biologist in the world :madge:

oh i agree with you

i was just saying i feel like pansexuality probably include those who are both or neither sexes (which are rare cases) as opposed to bisexual which just focuses on the norm male and female sexes

i wondered if you had considered those 2 other options of the both bits/no bits too :selena:
