If your opinion of the album is even remotely reliant on other peoples perceptions than you're a layman.

Opinion on the album, or "era?" I wasnt talking about the album, but referring to the Liberation era...but thanks for trying to read :huntyga:

In layman's terms, an album doesn't necessarily mean an era.

Y’all try to drag xtina but please understand the following:

the album performed poorly because of lack of label support, not because of the quality of music. The album is her most critically acclaimed and currently holds a 71 on metacritic. Y’all wanna dismiss her flopping as being because of lack of demand but there can’t be demand if there isn’t proper promotion to get her name back out there. For how little she promoted, her opening week sales were respectable. Can you imagine how much more they would be with an actual single released to radio?

....her label, RCA, didn’t even bother sending a single to radio, and the promo was an AMAs performance, a good morning America performance and a jimmy Fallon performance. Fall in line, the single she promoted, actually reached #1 or #2 on iTunes, but without any radio airplay, it’s inpossible for a song to gain enough exposure to become a sustained hit.  If xtina truly cared, she might try to get out of her record deal and find a new label, but the issue is she doesn’t care enough to be a huge name anymore, so the arrangement she has with RCA works for her. It sucks because I want her to succeed. She still looks so gorgeous and her voice is still remarkable, but if she doesn’t care, there’s nothing I can really do.

Im excited to see her on tour. Last time I saw her live was in 2007.

At this point, I'm wondering if her label even cares. They gave up on her last album when the first single didn't do well and no follow-up videos were released. Liberation hasn't done much better, so I don't hold out much hope. I think Fall In Line has done amazingly well from a YouTube standpoint by Xtina's standards. It has over 21 million views and over 567k likes in just 1.5 months and that's despite just one solitary promotional performance. I know that doesn't sound like much, but bear in mind that this has just become her third most liked YouTube video of all time. She's never been a big views or likes generator. Sure, Demi being on the track has likely helped it a lot but considering it hasn't charted well, for it to still be getting any attention at all at this point is brilliant. But after the failure of the Accelerate video, the chances of her team pushing for much more from here on out is slim. In my opinion, Right Moves is the only song left that is remotely mainstream and stands a chance at a hit, plus it's perfect for summer. If they don't release that sometime real soon, I think it's safe to say the album's done. It's a shame because it's a good effort from her, the best album she's released since Back To Basics, yet she can't catch a break.
