Please read things before you quote them "Minority roles shouldn't be given to actors who are not minorities themselves - period. Because it takes possibly the only chance minorities have in hollywood away" Your words and not mine, honey. The ONLY CHANCE MINORITIES HAVE IN HOLLYWOOD... Let me repeat: THE ONLY CHANCE MINORITIES HAVE IN HOLLYWOOD, is to play a role of their minority. If that is not transphobia to you then you are an ignorant transphobe. God you really can't read, I said "POSSIBLY the only chance" because trans actors aren't HIRED/AUDITIONED/CASTED for other roles in film or tv. Which is factual. Even then, that assumption that trans will not be hired for any other roles is so transphobic, I can't even And, if trans are not hired for any other roles, there are many factors that come to play, not just whether the producers are transphobic or not. To think otherwise would be very reductive on your part.

If it is truly discriminatory she would have a case against the producers which she can bring to the government, but the only thing she did was a tweet. I am sure there are many actresses out there trans or cis would also be prevented from stepping foot into the room to audition. It's not only her that has talked about this. Even Laverne Cox retweeted Jamie's thoughts about the lack of opportunities for trans actors to audition for cis roles. If it was an isolated case, sure, but the fact that it's happening to several trans actors means there is discrimination. Of course it isn't as strong as it was some years back, but it's still there. Even when cis roles are given to trans actors, networks are still scared of giving a green light to these projects, as Laverne shared in an interview. This has to change. Until it does, I understand the disappointment many trans actors feel when cis actors are given some of the few roles networks/movie studios let them openly audition for.
