Fact is pretty much everything Gaga has done post ARTPOP is something no fans “asked for” and yet Gaga now finds herself as a widely respected musician with respect from the best in her industry and also is a budding in demand actress. She has widened her demographic and only anti-stans doubt her talent. Her career is blossoming to so much more than just a pop star, yet fans complain because she doesn’t play the normal pop star games. Thank god Gaga ignores her fans. She’s in much better shape having done essentially the opposite of what fans “asked for.” Her way leads to longevity and a varied, interesting career. /rant Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Gaga's playing the long term game and it seems to be paying off. She's cementing herself and becoming more respected every year. Sis knows what she's doing. That being said using "keep it" is so lame lol. I'd rather someone properly explain why a career decision Gaga has made would be a bad move instead of just saying "keep it". That to me signals that the person commented on instinct instead of actually thinking through why they would oppose her doing something and at the end of the day Gaga do what Gaga want so idk why so many get so bothered lol. If you dont like something she does state it but plz explain your opinion politely or simply move on from Gaga until she does something that interests you. Nobody is upset with her for widening her demographic. With Joanne, a lot of the negativity came from comparing the quality of content she had put out in the past to things like the PI and MR videos, which honestly pale in comparison. Also, obviously some fans of pop music aren't going to be fans of a jazz album. I happened to really enjoy it, but I also had friends that really didn't care for it. And that's fine. Hardly anyone on here is trying to tear Gaga down, and most truly want success for her. But when a project doesn't meet expectations, of course there is going to be some level of negativity. The thing that I love about Gaga (and you seem to also) is that she never repeats herself. Every album is a completely new experience. There have been parts that I truly cherish and parts that I couldn't stand. Nobody is ever going to like every single thing she does. I love her ENDLESSLY as a person, but that doesn't mean that every piece of art she releases has to be my favorite. She could put out her best experimental album, get critically acclaimed, be recognized as the true versatile talent she is... yet they would constantly whine and say "why isn't Gaga walking on stage as a unicorn??? "No one asked for it" doesn't make sense because there are varying interest levels coming from hardcore stans to the GP. Fans are often way too melodramatic. If Gaga gives you something you don't want, move on to something else. Chances are she will come back around to something you care for in the future.
