Million Reasons surpasses Bad Romance on Spotify

A 2009 single holding up that long as her most streamed song is INSANE. Bad Romance is THAT smash.

MR's numbers for a 2016 song are just ok (even for a balld) but it is what it is and she wasn't on many playlists so it's fine I suppose. Let's hope her next era has an actual streaming hit!

she was on one playlist, Piano songs or something. ~230 million streams for a single from 2016 with no Today's Top Hits placement even once is pretty good I would say. But I get where you're coming from in that it could have done better and we should look forward to bigger songs.

Not trying to bring other artists up but songs like End Game had everything to become a hit (3 big artists, playlists, big budget vid etc) and its only at 113 million streams. And it's a 2018 single.

Exactly. End Game flopped immensely on streaming services (and elsewhere as well.)

MR wasn't pushed enough by her team on playlists. Even if it was a ballad it deserved to get some placement on big playlists. That blame falls on her team. Ultimately the reason doesn't really matter all that much and MR did just "ok" when we look at the cold facts / numbers but it had so much more potential. Oh well.

Let's hope that with the next record they manage things properly in terms of streaming!

Million Reasons is a song that transcends her average fanbase. So many people who enjoy or maybe even prefer different genres/artists like that song, so I am not surprised.

Also loving Alejandro’s numbers :firega:

Really happy it managed to do this but still mad at interscope how the song was just ignored on streaming, If it had been pushed on TTH and the versions of TTH in each country it would have led to it charting top 50 on spotify in alot of countries meaning even more playlists and streams. It could easily had 300-400M steams right now if it had the help of playlists.

Other songs released by females around the time has alot more then this just because they were pushed on TTH despite many of them not being a bigger single then MR. Some examples:
Lorde- Green light 250 717 668
Miley cyrus- Malibu 327 718 678
Tove Lo- Cool Girl 270 745 666
Rihanna- Love on the brain 331 754 144
Sia- The greatest 396 745 977
Adele- Water under the bridge 259 266 417

MR would have easily outstreamed most of these with the help of TTH :nails:

You know if Spotify existed since then, or even soon after Bad Romance would probably be a lot higher.
