So I just Realized a Problem if Scheiße was Released as a Single

So I was reading an article from 2011 about the promotional campaign of Born This Way, and I found out something. Scheiße being released as a single could have seriously conflicted with radio play because it's title is a swear word, even if it is in German. I would have loved it as a single, but this is a genuine problem. 

 

(I don't have a problem with the title being a swear word, but still.)

What's being a "new stan" got to do with anything? I think it's a valid question to ask since there was possibly a time that it could have been pushed to radio as a single.

Inb4 it was released as a single in an alternate universe and the radio version just bleeped or had an awkward silence every time she says the word “Scheiße”.

No I just mean how they've only realised that the title is a swear word, I thought this was common knowledge  didn't mean to come across as harsh or anything haha

Oh god, I think you’re right. And to think Dancin’ In Circles was the big bad boy of the catalogue that has single potential… how an you even censor Scheiße when it’s the literal name of the song? The GP woiod be confused, and we know, too lazy to clear it up themselves.

Actually no, I think you’re wrong. I just remembered Gaga was adamant on making Born This Way a clean album, so it can get to as many harmed youth as possible. Scheiße had to have been cleared as an okay word to use. There’s literally no other swear on Born This Way either, notice how Govt. Hooker has bleeps in it. I have no clue why Judas was made a single over Scheiße, but if Scheiße was a single, it would have done way better.

I been knew that the title was a swear word for years. I was just stating the problems with it being played on the radio. I am not mad.

Well Nicki Minaj's "Stupid H0e" (O changed to a zero for WP reasons.) was changed to "Stupid Stupid" so there's that. 

 

In short, the only way to edit the title for radio would be to make it not be a very good title.
