Monsterish 5,520 Posted June 28, 2018 Share Posted June 28, 2018 I'm not a fan of theory threads, but I just realised one thing that I'd like to explain you Since the release of The Cure we've been discussing about if this song is a promo single or reject of A Star Is Born I realised that if The Cure is a reject from ASIB that could mean that Ally (Gaga) wrote the song to Jack (Bradley) Why? Well, the song talks about being the help to a friend who is suffering and I know we already talked about that this song was wrote for Sonja, but... What if Ally wrote the song to be The Cure of Jack's addiction to alcohol? Ally literally becomes a pop star in the movie. the rumor started b/c we're fairly positive DJWS shadow ghost-produced it, and we know he worked on 1/2 the soundtrack. That it was released when she performed at coachella (while she also happened to be filming ASIB) positions it conveniently around the time when it plausibly recorded. The bigger (and imo, less likely) rumor is that it's about Sonja. I mean, the lyric of the song are far more romantic and less platonic.
