Was PI Really A Flop?

I’m sure we can all agree Perfect Illusion didn’t receive the proper promo, and it could’ve atleast peaked at #5 with the correct promo.

However, the song debuted #15 on BB100 which I don’t consider a flop at all when half of her other singles debuted lower than that?   Thoughts?

Other Single Debuts (BB100):

76 - Just Dance

96 - Love Game

74 - Paparazzi

29 - Telephone

72 - Alejandro

36 - Yoü & I

79 - Marry The Night

76 - G.U.Y

Yes it was, and that's okay and obvious :awkney:

No need to sugarcoat it :awkney:

Yes. Let’s not be delusional:laughga:

It’s still one of Joanne’s best tracks though:flutter:

A lead single by Lady Gaga peaking at #15 is pretty bad considering all of her previous leads peaked in the top 5 and stayed in the top 10 for MONTHS (yes, Applause included).

well it wasn't a smash

for a lead single it really should have had more promo but i guess they really thought it would hit top 10 by her name alone

It's not about how it peaked at #15, it's more about how it tumbled down the charts in a few weeks imo :messga:

I know, that's why I pointed out her other leads stability for weeks, Applause stayed on a high position for 3 months, while Born this way reign only lasted 2 months, despite of being #1 for 6 weeks

Uhhh do you know how charts work? Debuts mean nothing if the song eventually has peaks much higher on the Hot 100. So yes PI was her 2nd biggest flop behind G.U.Y.

Yes, it deserved to be #1 instead of #2

Yeah it flopped

It's kind of crazy to see Monsters expectations in term of what we can call a hit in LG's discography is dicreasing from an era to another.

Applause was already considered as a disappointment in charts at that time just saying, so PI ? :cryga:
