Guest Posted June 23, 2018 Share Posted June 23, 2018 Actually I’m Hungarian (not very proud to say this at the moment) and the current political situation is pretty unbelievable here. Unfortunately not only gay rights but overall civil and human rights are not handled the way they should be treated, it’s like movint backwards in history. Considering that a huge part of the media is also in the hands of the government now, it can affect as we can see the world of arts and this is something that is totally unacceptable. Art is the light at the end of the tunnel, an escape from reality sometimes in order to get some strength for us to create a greater reality at the end. It’s conflicting in my mind at times because I would happily move to somewhere else but I also feel like it’s my responsibility to say and do something against what’s happening here and I want to, for the future generations - starting with going to the Budapest pride on the 7th of July. At the same time I’m really glad to see that a great progress has been made in the Czech Republic, I’m so happy for you guys!!
