I support abortions for the sake of everyone, you spare child of pain and misery and you give mother another chance in life. Choosing not to have a baby because he'll be different, have a handicap, could be comparable to eugenism, which is close to the nazi ideology. It's a tricky debate. Of course a lot of parents would choose that and I would too, if I wanted children. He's saying having an abortion to avoid birth defects, i.e. if the baby will be disabled/deformed, is comparable to the nazis. The idea that if the baby is not perfect they are not worthy of a life, they don't even deserve the chance to live. While I understand that some mothers do this to spare the child's suffering and their decision is made with good intentions, I do believe it is still wrong. People with disabilities will always face challenges of course, but they can still lead fulfilling lives and are just as much an important part of our communities as anyone else. Thats by far not always the case, one thing is to be born with a flimsy leg and another thing is being born completely handicapped physically and mentally where their lives are just a flash that they cant even comprehend, tied to a wheelchair and having 0 freedom and a total dependance on others to survive for their whole lives. Thats not living, thats torture. In cases like that the most humane thing to do is to let them go.
