My thoughts on why 21/25 did so well, there was a drought of great vocalists and more mature music at the time (i think) so people ate Adele's music up. Every song on that album could have been a single. Another thing about Reputation also, even tho everyone bashes it. It reminds me of ARTPOP. People who are fans or are strongly connected to the music industry hate it, but I've heard more people say they like a song off of Reputation than any of her other albums. The same thing happened with ARTPOP. More of my friends and family thoroughly enjoyed ARTPOP songs than any other Gaga album. Specifically G.U.Y and Sexxx Dreams.
