DelusionalGaga 29,719
Excuse me if I sound stupid, but did the FCC give any reasons why they want to repeal net neutrality in the first place? Obviously it's a money grab and an excuse for providers to charge the customers more money. But from our perspective it's a terrible thing, so how do they justify it? I read that it was lowkey an experiment just to see which companies would actually raise prices / take advantage of it and then go after them. Or something. Or something. Lol Tbh tho with the size of the internet and number of companies... They could never charge that much or else they'd loose customers or visitors Any field that has a lot of competition is prevented from installing high profit margins Its the reason airlines for example have profit margins as low as 2% to 3% of revenue (top performing companies can be as high as 8% to 10% tho)

Yeah, I hope this can be reversed in the near future but I’m sure many companies won’t risk it. Until they all agree to do it behind the scene. I remember few years ago in France, all our mobile contract providers secretly decided to slowly raise the prices all together. It's illegal and it lasted for many many years before it was exposed.
