You mean, on Joanne. No need to call it LG5 since we have the title. And no, there wasn't another album

she tagged LG5 on her pics in 2015 while she was working in the studio with RedOne. The latter confirmed he was producing it.

Joanne the song was written in March 2016 with Mark Ronson. It's easy to understand she scrapped the original album to make another one when she met Ronson and his team.

LG5 was not the title:toofunny: And RedOne worked on Joanne before being almost scrapped, which doesn't mean it was another album. Joanne the album was started in October 2014. When the song was made has nothing to do with when the album was.

You know I'm not stupid, I know that album is not called LG5, like seriously :wtfga:

I just meant it wasn't called Joanne at that time as the title track wasn't even written. The theme was different, the mood and sounds too. Just read RedOne interviews and you'll see that the songs and concept they have done together weren't like what Joanne ended up to be. The fact DJWS, Nile Rodgers and Moroder were also scrapped means a lot on how the original album sounded.

If you read late 2014 interviews are clearly indicative of Joanne. Gaga "erasing the fame", operating on her "old-self cadaver", "more raw and jazzy"... Only delulus thought that she'd release a TFM 2.0

We don't know if THIS album was called Joanne by that time, but what we know is that she always planned to release an album called Joanne, since 2010

This is not true... to an extent. She had writers block in 2015 and her label really pushed her to work with RedOne and other suggestions like Girgio(which never happened). However I have a sneaking suspicion she planned on working with Mark for a while. She had been trying to book him for sessions and couldn’t get him until 2016. They started hanging out and planning in late 2015, started Joanne in Feb/March and went on all summer long. Label suggested more artists like Father John, and Tame Impala and Hillary Lindsey and it organically became the Joanne we know today. The first sessions for LG5 were totally different conceptually than what she ended up fully realizing into what we now know is Joanne. All this is credited back to PropaGaga aka Mindtrappa who works for Interscope and has off and on contact with Gaga’s team.

I'm still shook that Gaga scrapped the original lg5 after collaborating with some of the biggest songwriters of the 20th century. Diane, Elton, Nile Rogers. No shade to Mark, but the original LG5 sounds like it would have won every award ever

Yeah that original album seemed to be very promising. No shade to Joanne, but I would love her to push that music she made.

This is ...heartbreaking. :toofunny:

Between ARTPOP Act II and Original LG5 we may have lost at least 20 amazing pop masterpieces...
