Anderson123 38,218
I'm watching it this weekend, I've been waiting months for it. I hope it's as good as they say.
That J 12,166
I hope it's not as "great" as Quiet Place which was good IMO but nowhere near the place they hyped it up to be. This looks really good and the first time I saw the trailer, I knew I wanted to see it so it's on the list! djBuffoon 12,115
From interviews with the writer/director, and from word-of-mouth, this sounds to be FAR more intense than the likes of A Quiet Place and The Witch, both of which I loved (particularly the latter), but are less mainstream in aspirations. Hereditary seems like it will be slow-building and creepy, but also deliver legitimate scares.
Tomiel25 2,111
I've already wached it yesterday it was good in the line of the babadook, it follows, and the witch, but it won't give you the scare of the exorcist, i mean when i watch TE (i was a kid) i felt like i was watching someting wrong and it gave me nightmares, Hereditary is an amazing indie horror movie, well crafted maybe it will shooking you but it won't haunt you. ( btw the cast was especially Toni Collette) i can't speak english but i can if you like

This looks really good and the first time I saw the trailer, I knew I wanted to see it so it's on the list! I just watched Hereditary and I have to say it was brilliantly disturbing. I’ve watched A Quiet Place and while it was good, Hereditary is pure Horror. It’s up there with classic Horror, Toni Collette is a true contender for Best Actress Oscar. I can’t get the imagery out of my head. Go see it.
djBuffoon 12,115
I thought it was absolutely terrifying. There are images and beats in this movie that I predict will become iconic. Really unnerving throughout, and a great cast too.
LordEnigma 11,313
I can’t wait! I remember seeing a trailer for this months ago and expecting it to never come to where I live - BUT it came! I’m excited although trying not to overhype because horror usually disappoints me.
aaron l 11,999
I saw it last night and was shocked throughout the entire film. Ari Aster's directing is ****ing incredible. I see the general public treating it as they did The Witch, Mother!, & It Comes At Night. Sometimes not completely knowing what's going on is exactly what makes a film so damn eerie. Meredith Grey 3,151
I saw it last night!! This movie was excellent and disturbing... up until the last 30 minutes. No spoilers but at certain scenes the audience was literally dying of laughter. The ending ruined it for a lot of people who saw it with me. But Toni Collette gives such an exceptional performance i’ll overlook the bad ending. Also, Alex Wolff KILLS it as well and i wish more people were praising his performance. Quasi 10,923
I'm seeing it tonight! Tbh I've never been this nervous to watch a film. I'm hoping it's gonna be the kind of movie where everyone in the theatre is audibly shocked and excited. Will definitely leave my thoughts on this thread later! I don't understand pineapples, so I don't eat bananas.

I'll be there by Monday!!! The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than The Driver Of The Screw

Saw it in a packed house last night, and you could hear a pin drop during the last quarter. Even when the credits went up, everyone was silent. I thought the ending was some kind of sick genius. But I agree that Alex Wolff and Toni Collette were both terrific.
