Why isn’t The Fame Monster an album…

Why isn’t TFM considered an album if Ye by Kanye West is? TFM is 35 minutes long and 8 tracks, while Ye is 23 minutes long and 7 tracks. Furthermore, an EP is defined as a record with no more than 4-5 tracks, or under 25 minutes long, yet Wikipedia and news articles always insist that TFM is an EP. Even Gaga herself calls it a full album, so why do people refuse to accept it, but will allow Ye to be considered a full album?

Gaga said it's an album iirc so there's no more discussion to be done here

Of course it's an album, it's just SLIGHTLY shorter than a standard album.

It may be an EP, but I identify it as a stand-alone Gaga album.

In my messy era.

Considering the sheer scope and monumental significance of it, I can't call it anything less than an album.

It's an album, Gaga herself said it's an album.

Interscope wasn't agree with Gaga and her plans about Monster, they hated it cause it was too dark. After a fight with her label they permitted her to released Monster but as a re edition of the fame.

It's an album because we have the deluxe version (with the fame) and the standard version (explicit) with only 8 tracks.

But thriller is an album too but it only has like 8 tracks. same with other David Bowie albums. So yeah, I consider it as an album. A complete body of work plus it sounds very uniform/consisent all through out.

TFM has always been an album for me. My favorite one by the way.

I’m actually nice.

(Supposed to quote @Carlo Rodriguez)

That's because vinyl records can't be as long as CDs.

And now that CDs are redundant artists release music in all kinds of 'formats' and the terms single, mini album, EP and album seem less important.

Not to talk about jurassic terms like 7", 12" and maxi single.

It’s an album. Interscope wasn’t too receptive of the dark concept so they didn’t call it that

More importantly, why aren't all the TFM tracks singles even though each and every one of them are single-worthy?
