They fired all of the writers from last season except one or two. I’m giving it another chance, especially considering that last season ended really strongly.

They peaked with Season 2. Vee was THAT villian. Last season was all over the place. Didn't watch the last episode lol

Hope that season 6 is more like season 1-2-3. I want it to be that funny show again, not that blacklives matter bs.

July 27? :what: I was hoping to watch this season this month.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

Yikes, not you completely misunderstanding the entire purpose of the show :rip: (And black lives matter is BS? really :rip: )

OITNB is based on a real story - its not supposed to be an unrealistic comedy about some women who happen to be in prison that steal food from the cafeteria, get made fun of for being "crazy" and go on adventures in the prison for fun :air:

It's about telling real stories, inspiring compassion, and for us to take a second look at the way we treat women, and the messed up reality of our justice system. Humor, realistic characters, etc. are just the vehicle by which compassion is inspired... If we can relate to these characters, empathize with them, see ourselves in their shoes, we can want to make a difference  Idk, maybe I'm just a crazy SJW for caring that women are mistreated in prison :ladyhaha:

OT: Some seasons have had better or worse writing than the others, but honestly, I hope they don't go back to a S2 style, Vee was a good villain, but I think that kind of singular focus wouldnt be the same if repeated; they tried it with S5 kind of with everything happening during the riot and it wasn't the same. S4 is probably my favorite if I'm remembering it right. I'm very excited/nervous to see how the show goes, and who is still part of the cast, etc.

私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

It was funny when every episode also had flashbacks about the prisoners as to why they were there and switch between those flashback and real-time situations in the prison. Then all of sudden, S5 became extremely political with that blacklives matter movement which annoyed the hell out of me and there were almost no flashbacks or personal oriented episodes, especially since I'd normally watch the show to relax and unwind after a long day. And yes I don't agree with the blacklives matter movement but that's a totally different discussion.
