You're very correct. There's a sad double standard here.

That being said, her friend has come out and said he found nothing wrong with it, so there's no reason to jump to sexual assault claims I guess. It was still unwarranted and would be assault if he had not been okay with it, however. She still remains unlikable regardless.

It is still not right, because if it was a woman envolved and she said that there was nothing wrong about the prank, the world would still not accept it, they would argue that women are so used to be objectified and abused by men that most of the times they find it normal and something they must expect and accept. So in this case, because the man said it was fine, we can move on? I'm sure it was indeed a stupid prank, but Demi should still be punished for this. For someone who claims to understand what sexual assault is, she has very little perspective about intimacy and privacy (and yes, men have that as well).

Do we even know who the man is and how he feels on the situation?...

I see your point and pretty much agree with your counter-example (and I've actually seen some people say we shouldn't accept this either because men are expected to brush off sexual assault). It's just tough for me to keep denouncing this on behalf of someone who is seemingly okay with it. That doesn't mean Demi's actions (or the girl who actually did it, for that matter) are any less stupid and unnecessary.

It's pathetic that my standards are so low but I'm kind of proud of society that there's backlash to this comment.

Oh boyyy, i'm sure he was traumatized. I mean things have to be put into context, shes probably really close to this Max guy and they have use that type of humor around each other. I really think we wont be able to make any jokes or pranks in the near future cause of the fake moral outrage stuff going on lol

There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.

I don’t see anything about the bodyguard’s feelings on the situation....

And are you assuming he would be ok? I believe that if he didn't consent, it would be hurtful for him.
