Is it sampling when you use the entire thing tho :oprah:

well rappers have been known for rapping over somebody else's instrumental, but I'm sure Azealia got the credits for it and not blatantly stealing an instrumental otherwise she wouldn't be so brave to sue other ppl for stealing.

An Expresso is credited as the producer on  The Big Big Beat and received royalties from the song. Basic research sweaty!

Yes , Madonna did it with Hung Up too

also both of them asked permission to their original producers before make the new songs

isn't this called sampling :rip:

again rupaul stole the rhythm and the flow azealia had in the big big beat, yall trying too mcuh

So when Azealia does it it's sampling, when RuPaul does it, it's stealing? :ladyhaha:

Not to mention that this whole endavor just reeks of hypocrisy, she was the one crying about how her Harlem Shake Remix got removed and cried about having trouble putting her past mixtapes on iTunes cuz of unauthorized sampling.

This whole ordeal just proves my point about Azealia: She's willing to exploit any system without remorse, but as soon as she's the one under scrutiny, she's trying to weasel her way out of responsibility by making fake woke rants.

Sampling = getting the RIGHTS to sample and giving out the credits

Stealing = NOT getting the rights and just stealing it without giving any credit

there's a clear difference here

It was a question, if you're at all familiar with that concept, and one answer would have sufficed... but thanks :huntyga:

It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke!

She's not racist and she apologized for that, which happened some years ago.

Y'all will diminish the meaning and real baggage of the word racist if you keep throwing it to everyone and everything

All of the 1991 EP used already existing songs so it's nothing new

Still bops tho :lolly:
