I trust WB and Interscope, but I'm still confused why they're pushing a preorder 5 weeks ahead of release? If there's no instant-grab then what's the use of paying for it now vs. later on? There's nothing that's pushing fans and the GP to preorder it now and secure a copy sold.

You won't pay for it until it comes out, even if you pre-order it. And tbh I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get a single song before the movie comes out, it's just our luck with Gaga and new music...
