So I like it will never reach #1

SAD #1 next week, then next week at #1 whatever Drake song the GP likes the most out of his new album that will stay #1 for a month

Sad! Has 17 million views.

Probably 20 million in 4.5 hours when the tracking week ends. Cardi lost...

I really has that many views? I don't wanna click on it to give a view to that homophobic abuser :air:

Okay so next week there's a new BB rule is it the one about free-streaming counting less than paid-streaming?  will it have any impact on some songs on the hot 100?

Cardis Radio growth will eventually save her if she can’t go #1 this week. The song is growing fast on radio, which shows it will most likely reach the top 3on radio. She’s #10 now on radio with a 100 audience. The current #1 radio song has 150 audience impressions and other songs at #1 have reached 170ish. Her radio will end up putting her above other powerful streaming songs (especially with the new streaming rules coming).

it may be a wait (think about end of July/early August) , but Cardi WILL get that #1 song.

that's exactly what it is predicted to do. It won't kill it, but expect the Hot 100 to look a bit different now.

One major example is Soundcloud. Many hip-hop artists receive tons of streams from SoundCloud and the majority of the streamers don't pay for the service. So therefore the songs will only receive two-thirds of the value it's receiving now.

Music videos will also take a hit. So viral videos on Youtube will only be two-thirds as impactful on the Hot 100

Everyone I know that listens to the music that has dominated the Top 10 for the past year has paid Spotify accounts. I think someone on ATRL mentioned that Hip Hop is still the genre that dominated paid subscription streaming.

In other words, the “hood rats” will still have power. And can definitelty afford $9.99. Or like most of us in college like myself, $4.99.

Apple Music is only paid and hip hop dominantes :ohwell:

And Apple Music is quickly approaching the same amount of PAID subscribers as Spotify. That was months ago too it may be a nominal amount away from overcoming Spotify.

I think the biggest loser in the paid vs ad supported streaming change will be EDM.
