Looking back at the Joanne era award wise I’m very pleased. She dug herself in an acclaim hole with ARTPOP. Yet the Joanne era faired pretty well overall with major award nominations and a couple wins.

That kind of cover up would have been worse and surely would have generated headlines. She clearly pretends its the single that never happened. So do we. Hopefully she thinks more carefully about her collabs next time.

Yeah she should of saved DWUW somehow. Could of completly erased the cringe / risky MV intro of her getting drugged up and just used the news paper scenes and the gym / weight lifting scenes and we would of easily had another top 10 hit. In fact I feel like with an MV DWUW would of possibly matched Applause's sales (at least in the US). Had DWUW done it's thing we would of also gotten another single before GUY which would of probably been Gypsy instead of getting complete silence. Still...ARTPOP happened the way it did for a reason and I think it taught Gaga and her new team a lot of lessons. We will surely NEVER ever get an era as messy as that ever again thank God so that means they learned. And at the end of the day Gaga is in a much better place so I am content over all.
