I mean of course she is not in her prime Popstar years anymore however are #1 singles really that important to her legacy? There are for sure alternatives....

I mean just think about Rihanna with her multiple #1s. Some of these are already or will be forgotten in a few years. Imho there was not a huge (cultural) impact....

This has always been this way with Rihanna. Even Katy has had more cultural impact with her hits than Rihanna did. 

Gaga doesn’t have number ones but she does have at least one song in every album (k except ARTPOP let’s not get delusional here) that had impact (Just Dance, Poker Face, Paparazzi / Bad Romance, Alejandro, telephone / Born This Way, Judas (in some countries, more than you all give it credit), You And i (in a lot of the GP, really) and Million Reasons (WW, everyone knows it and loves it even if it hasn’t been a smash hit in the era of tropical songs k). C2C is iconic.

And that’s about the songs, but her impact in music, Fashion, videos (bitch come back wtf are you doing you were the one leading that and now...) is undeniable. 

Now this movie. She is gonna have a huge name for everybody for now on. It is a fact. If she plays her cards well, she will get her next career peak on 2019.

Oh andbythat I don’t mean rihanna hasn’t had any impact with any song. But the ratio of #1s and culturally relevant and memorable songs is low. She has like 20376162 number ones and most people will only remember four or something like that.

It’s actually heavily influenced by The Shining. You can see so many parallels in the season to the shining, like the hotel, the children, the blood, and the slow cultivation of John’s insanity, which for me was a nice touch, but Id understand if people would find it confusing tho. But for me, it’s one of the better seasons of AHS

Why wouldn't you consider "Applause" as iconic as the others?   It had a great impact, I don't think people forgot it! I refuse to believe that
