Let's not even compare Lady Gaga and Adele that both belong to different universes and who both have a reputation in what they are doing. 

Well in 2009 nobody would've thought putting Gaga together with The Sound of Music, Tony Bennett or Bradley Cooper would bring any good but Gaga has continued to prove everyone wrong.

And if anything, her biggest succeses in the previous 6 years have been anything but the dance/pop tracks.

You make a good case. 

But we need to look at the bigger picture. Gagas biggest hits are her electronic/ pop songs. 

Adeles biggest hits are Ballads. 

Theres no comparison when it comes to the GP. (We aren’t speaking from a fans PoV. A lot of the GP don’t know that Gaga did those things. They just know her as that Ra Ra Bish).

Actually I think it's mostly the fans who want her to make pop/dance. The "GP" isn't bothered by those preconceived notions because they're not as invested in the Gaga brand (or any artist brand) as some pretend them to be. They just want someone to cheer for.

All my GP friends are always like “Omg she needs to make more songs like MR I love that song”  

But in the end it all depends on the song itself and if the public likes it or not. The GP doesn’t care if it’s a dance track or a ballad.

She's known for them, yes, but it's not like the GP would go like "tHiS gAgA SoNg iS NoT a DaNcE tRaCk So i dOnT LiKe iT". It's not that complicated. If Gaga brings the 2018 version of Rolling in the Deep, My Heart Will Go On or I Will Always Love You, people will pay attention. 

If her two oscar performances, two superbowl performances and as a matter of fact most of her work in 2015-2018 have told us anything, it's that people are cheering for Gaga to stray from the typical pop scene. She just needs to find the right song.

And by the way, I can't speak for America but here in the Netherlands people definitely also know Gaga for Million Reasons (which has probably been her biggest hit here since Born This Way, the single).

I hope it is a big ballad, which isn’t something she has ever released.  MR is raw and stripped down imo.
